Welcome

Objective: A new community for research into design, aesthetics and interaction

This site houses discussions about the potentials and objectives of a new or transformed research community on aesthetics and interaction design.

A key motivation for setting up this site is to examine Aesthetics of Interaction as an alternative to the DPPI (Designing Pleasurable Products and Interfaces) community, since aesthetics, rather than pleasure, better captures the community's interests. This nomenclature also points towards an increased focus on areas such as art and creativity in design.
